Heres my idea say your doing a job and you find a pair of black ragged boots, but you dont need or want them I think you should be able to go into your town and trade your black ones for the tailors brown ones strait up. You are only allowed to do this because the two items have the same sell price. I know this wasnt exactly what everyone wanted but I think it is the only one with a chance of being approved.
Having said this I can already think of a few problems such as:
You have to have a shop that sells a similar item
There has to be a way to stop people from changing and then changing back just to do one job or another.
im sure you guys will find more problems in my idea so tell me
