...game is not kept in English...the most widely spoken language...will end up taking over
or it could just stay as it is, with groups and enclaves remaining as they are, and everyone cross-communicating in english, a situation which is prevalent in most online game situations.
somehow, i don't see any other language "taking over" this game, when you're considering that there are over a quarter million players to sway!

do you think towns should be allowed to have non-english forums?

YES, non-english forums are OK with me;
or
NO, english should be the primary language in the forums, as it is on this server.

how tough is that?

ok i have a question for gem admin or who ever's in charge why is it only against the rules not to allow people into your town because of there nationality. what about kicking people becasue of there nationality, not giving them councelor rank or dueling them continuaslly shouldn't that be classed as discrimination too?

edit: and what about different sex's and religions too?

Just as an information to all of you, who believe that non-english players should wait for a version of the game in their own language:

The danish version is up and running, and oh-my-GOD, it sucks in translation! I don't know which translater was used, but not many danes can have read the texts before release...

Wait, so i get it, you say everyone must be allowed 2 join a town? It's the town's administration right 2 chose who enters that one, really. If they don't like you because u have long nose, then it's the "town of short noses". What's the problem? Go join another town. Why is it this rule against towns with peoples from same country? Is their right to camp together and speak in whatever language they want. And if they want 2 keep it close for foreigners, then it's their job.
If you think that's discrimination, how about "recruiting duelers"? isn't that a discrimination for non-dueler types? I bet they have something against people without guns! or, "we recruit active people". Discrimination against less-active! Or, "we don't recruit low-level players", isn't that another discrimination?
In fact, discrimination is when you don't like it. Otherwise is ok.

they should also add those to the discrimination list

Everyone discriminates.

So don't whine about it. People are discriminated against when it says "People level 10 or higher"

Doesnt mean they are discriminated for no reason.

Though some discrimination may be more personal or hateful, such as not allowing Serbians, Muslims, Athiest, or so forth.

Still I suppose it is thier choice.

Don't you think that the English language version has been discriminated against by being the only version that people don't have to speak the language on? i bet you can speak Albanian on the Danish server.

It could be worse. They could have used the new improved Euro-English...

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

Took me about 4-5 mins to finish it, but lmao, literally.
