yeah the only way of emptying your inventory is by selling stuff although some products you should keep. they might come up in quests later on. check on www.weststats.com

I second v-almighty. i learned that the hard way. i sold all my tobacco for some money to build a town. the next quest i needed like 5 tobacco. the reward was about what i had sold it for but then had to go work and get some more. wasting more time.
i have a pretty full inventory after that. try not to sell all of one item. youll probably need it a little later.
