here then. dont make it interactive with multipleplayers. make it another building in town that could generate money for town. it could have severalgames, depending on the level ofcasino. the town could set the payout rate, just like real casinos do, and people could take their chance gambling the computer in roulette, craps, blackjack, or slots.

As for the poker house, yes upgrading to different games would be a really good idea. Maybe poker would be the top level, so you have to upgrade past blackjack, roulette etc before you can have it.
As for each town setting the payout rate, I don't think that would be fair. Standard rates are the way to go.

ya. but i dont think online players only would be good if it was town based. it either needs to be a world wide chatroom similar to a yahoo games build, OR it needs to be single player vs the ai. or a mixture of both, like level 1-4 of poker house are 1. slots 2. roulette 3. blackjack 4. craps 5. access to live poker room.
that also stops the aruguement about what type of poker to implement because the players in the world chat who started the table would set what game they were playing.

how would this stop which kind of poker to implement? all that changed is that your poker house/saloon would have to be a higher level to actually play poker
this doesn't actually select what kind of poker
edit: ohh snap epiphany:
once you are able to play poker you would have to choose what kind of poker your town would play
this would stop the dominance of a town in one particular area (if they were the original poker house or if they set their buy-in really low, or something) with their revenue of poker flowing in. if you were to choose what kind of poker everybody would be happy and the revenues from poker would be more equal. yes certain poker is more popular than others, but this problem would fix itself because many people would have say texas hold 'em and would get a fair amount of players due to the many different texas hold 'em based saloons/houses, in turn a less popular variety, say Omaha would get about an equal amount of money because there would be less compitition

actually i was referring to the fact that the player who set the table would be able to choose a style of poker toplay. then players could choose to play/not play at that table based on the game and ante.
