nope, I assume he refers to the non-existance of the word "pences". The plural of penny is pence or pennies.

Old U.S. Army tradition , suposable taken from German citizens .
Walk into a bar , shout "pfening check" , who ever falls to produce a pfenning buys a round . If ever one has one the caller must buy two rounds .

oy gevalt! pfennig is a unit of currency used before they all switched to Euros. I hate to point it out but even though English takes words from many languages it is primarily a GERMANIC language. Pfennig is German for penny.:eek:
