Bingo, that is the best way to do it. Especially if you look at the "Ranches" idea. A barkeep who founds a town could charge people to house a poker game. Therefore bringin a town some profit...between that and the alcohol.

Sorry I find this statement quite stupid. How are any ideas going to benefit the developers apart from brining in new players and making it more enjoyable for the existing players (and therefore more premium being brought).
In my experience their is a high correlation of people who play and like poker and online games like this, and tribal wars. Online poker is fast approaching a 5 Billion dollar industry and is growing so fast it's crazy, for example...
online poker revenues grew from $82.7 million in 2001 to $2.4 billion in 2005.
Now I'm not saying turn this into an online poker site played with real cash
Just a possible new building in the towns where people can play simple games of poker for low amounts of $$$ or for items.But adding poker would incorporate one of the most popular games in the world, which is also associated with the wild west E.G 'Texas hold em'. So it's realistic and in context with the game itself, It would be a fun new addition and a idea for much needed extra building in towns, it would open up a new market and bring more people to the game and generally in my opinion be a great addition.

Wild west-Guns,duels,womens,and of course-POKER.Its not just a good idea, its a must in this game.It will be good to have some rankings in poker also, so you can imagine how strong your opponent is, when you sit down.As someone already said:for the virtual dollars and not the gold nuggets it'd be legal.Theres always been a poker in saloons.Do you know what is dead man`s hand?My suggestions:A)Texas hold`em as it is a skill game more than just a luck or coin flip.B)Poker is played in saloons and a town holder gets some rake from the pots.
