Job length longer than signed up for

Why when i sign up for a job for say 30 minutes, does it end up being a 5 hr job?

Because you are looking at a place in the map that is 5 hours away from your position. You first have to travel there and then work the 30 minutes. Just center the map on your character, the button is located on the lower left of your screen, and work on a job nearby.

I'm in Stillwater. The nearest job is Setting up telegraph poles 45 seconds away. When I select it for 5 minute work the job entry on right gives 10:42:21 for the duration.

Something is definately not right.

Are you by any chance restoring a saved session in Firefox just before queuing the job? Times are screwed up when you do. Refreshing takes care of it.
